• Camp Bluebird
A 3-Day Retreat for Adults with Caner. Held in Hendersonville, NC from October 26-28th. The cost for new campers is $40 and for return campers is $75. Scholarships may be available for those needing help with the registration fee. Contact Leslie Verner @ (828) 213-4656 to register.
• Camp Carefree, Inc.
Offers free weekly camps from June thru July for children with cancer and their siblings, as well as for children who have a parent who is ill. The camp is located in Stokesdale, NC. Call 336-427-0966 or visit their website at www.campcarefree.org for more information and to register.
• Camp Carousel
This camp is designed to meet the unique needs of grieving children (ages 6-12), teens, and adults. The camp is held at the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter Campus in Winston-Salem on July 26 –July 30. The cost for Camp Carousel is $25 per participant and is due with registration form. Partial scholarships to Camp Carousel are available. All registrations and fees are due by Monday, July 12, 2010. Call 336.768.3972 for additional information.
